Whether you are throwing a Christmas party or want to make little treat gift bags for the holidays, this bark recipe will make your life easy! My favorite part about this recipe is that no matter how each batch looks in the beginning they always turn out pretty and mouthwatering. They are melt in your mouth dreamy and great for the holiday season.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup coconut butter
2 TBSP agave
1.5 tsp cacao nibs
1/2 tsp peppermint flavor
(NOT peppermint oil!! You can
find the flavoring at your local
health food store)
Directions:
-First you will need to melt the coconut butter. You will need two bowls, one of which
fits inside the other. Fill the larger bowl with about 1-2 cups of hot water . Place the
smaller bowl inside the large bowl with the hot water. The smaller bowl should NOT get
any water inside of it. If it does, dump out some of the water and try again.
-Add the coconut butter into the smaller bowl and stir until it melts completely.
-Slowly add in the agave, peppermint flavor, and cacao nibs. Keep stirring and make
sure your small bowl is still heated slightly from the water in the large bowl.
-Pour or spread contents onto a flat surface (plate or tray) Into an
uneven circular-ish shape. You can make it as thick or thin as you desire.
-Place in freezer for 2 hours. Then remove and roughly break into about 12 bark
pieces.
